True crime
Healer Hoarder Decided to Decapitate her Friend
A harsh punishment for declining to lend money
It was a thoroughly planned murder
Mee Kuen Chong, a vulnerable, lonely lady, made friends with Jemma Mitchell at church and deepened their connection via a Christian dating site.
67-year-old Mee Kuen, also known as Deborah, was a kindly soul, known for her generosity to others who were struggling. She herself suffered from mental health problems, having been diagnosed with schizophrenia. Yet she would often open her door to the homeless and do her best to help them.
She also had an obsession with the then Prince Charles, believing they were communicating via YouTube. She’d sent several letters to both Prince Charles and Boris Johnson. The letters were disturbing enough that, in March 2021, Deborah was referred by the Fixated Threat Assessment Centre at Buckingham Palace to the Brent community mental health team. Just before her murder, her worried lodger had contacted social services and requested a carer for her.

After making friends, Jemma Mitchell assumed the role of spiritual counsellor and life guide to Deborah. They held healing sessions in Deborah’s garden.
